October Press Release

The Choir has now received all the prize money from the Community ideas fund. Combined with our start up grant from Frodsham Roundtable, we have been able to purchase equipment and music which enables us to perform at local indoor and outdoor venues. Our membership has risen to over 50…and still growing…and well over 100 came to hear our progress at a successful Friends and Family coffee morning, with excellent cakes. More cakes at our Macmillan event as well. Our performances have included Frodsham Stroke Club, Five Crosses Church Harvest Memories and a Charity sing at Morrisons.   We will be singing our Winter selection of songs at the Frodsham Christmas Festival; several dates at Morrisons to support our chosen charity Halton Haven; at several local organisations Christmas functions and at the Singathon in February. All ages over 18 are welcome to a free taster session on Saturday mornings  at Frodsham Community Centre 9.30-11.00.  No musical talent or knowledge is needed –  just a desire to sing popular songs in a very friendly group.

Ring Carol 01928 787312 for further information.

Additional Homework!!!!

Getting to grips with some new software today which hopefully means we can record all individual parts as MP3’s for homework in the week! Feedback from members please – some files uploaded in the members area…..

The Choir has now started rehearsing our Winter Programme, selected for us  by our Director, Ian. A lovely mixture of old favourites, ones that are new to us and a taste of Spain ….we enjoy a challenge !!  We now have around 50 happy members but always welcome more. Just pop in for a friendly Taster Session any Saturday morning.
